In 2008, at the request of Sotheby's CEO Bill Ruprecht, Sandra embarked on a distinctive project: designing handmade cowboy boots for a special occasion. These custom-fitted boots were meticulously crafted for each guest of the Corporate Retreat held at Don Pillsbury's ranch in Wyoming, serving as unique gifts for Sotheby’s top 40 global executives in attendance.
Collaborating with Rocketbuster, a renowned full-service custom boot shop known for its limitless possibilities, Sandra played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. Together, they embarked on a creative journey, starting from scratch to meticulously select the perfect color, height, toe shape, and heel style. This partnership culminated in the creation of utterly unique cowboy boots that captured the essence of Sotheby’s, offering a blend of luxury and personalization that was truly unparalleled.
